Thanks for the prompt. Here's what I came up with:
A tumble of kids on the toboggan. Elbows swinging around. Shin high you note, the varicose veins slithering up your legs, biting with a million little fangs. “Push us Grandpa!” they scream. “Push us!” Your neighbor Gary broke his hip pulling a stunt like this, you think: warbling, imagining shuffling towards the children over the slick snow, and placing your shaky hands on your grandson’s back, looking past his red stocking cap to the hill, and one last time, pushing.
