News at Pokrass Prompts
Dear Readers,
I’ve been creating Pokrass Prompts for a few years now—and after 369 published posts, I can say it continues to be a joy. I love making prompts and Hint Fiction contests, and the responses from you all have been beautiful and inspiring. It’s exciting when I hear that a story written from a Pokrass prompt has been published in a literary journal, and there have been many recent successes.
I’m going to continue creating quirky writing prompts and contests (such as the recent 8-Word Octopus Love Story contest) but in order to pay the rent— I’m going to need to move forward from today as a mostly paid subscription-based newsletter experience.
If you are already a paid subscriber here, nothing will change! In fact I will be ramping things up and adding more special features and content. An exciting collaboration project is forthcoming here at Pokrass Prompts in the next few months..
As ever, there will continue be a free version of Pokrass Prompts but it will only be once a month— the other newsletters will be available only for those who pay a small monthly fee to subscribe (£5 per month). As a friend recently pointed out to me, one way to view a paid subscription is as a donation for the work I do for the community. It is important that I see it this way too.
