In many cultures, frogs are associated with good luck. In some traditions, they are seen as symbols of fertility, mystical transformation, and prosperity. Often the belief is that they can ward off bad luck and bring good energy.
As for me, I always feel like I’ve stumbled across an otherworldly creature when I meet a frog. I seldom see them, but when I do, it’s a wonderful thing. I don’t know why I have such happy emotional reactions to frogs—who knows? I hope you too are a frog appreciator..
Challenge: write an 18-word story about a frog encounter Again, the theme is “luck”, with frog as catalyst. Post your tiny stories in the comments section. Please give them memorable titles (the titles can be as long as you like). One story per author only please. My favorites will be published next week!
Finding the right one…
By Alan McDiarmid
My wife says she kissed many frogs before finding her prince.
Yesterday I saw her kissing a frog.
Every year I drop a frog down Ginny Dilgard's shirt and every year she hollers like a cat who got her tail sucked-up in a Dustbuster.
This year, unbuttoning her shirt she said, "Come and get it". I could have kissed that damn frog!
