Autofiction workshop with Meg Pokrass (fictionalised autobiography): 400 words or less
October 1st - 4th: (go at your own pace). Asynchronous.
In this 4 day microfiction workshop, participants will be creating autofiction micro-length stories.
Unlike personal essay and memoir, which are the explorations of what was, autofiction allows us to explore real experience while also imagining the spaces between and around it. To make it your own.
It’s a chance to write about your own life with the creative freedom to transform the actual “facts” of your life into something more wonderful — while still holding the lived reality of your experience. Cost: $115 USD
There will be story models and creative, quirky prompts. My prompts are designed to help all writers break through creative barriers. There will be feedback from me directly on every story, as well as peer feedback. The workshop will be held in a private Facebook group.
Numbers of students are limited. For enrollment info, please email me here.
