From July 12th-14th I’ll be leading a new kind of workshop with an unusual focus: flash fiction pieces written to be read aloud and/or performed. Participants will be writing “flash monologues” (of 400 words or less) with an eye toward creating dramatic and/or comic character-driven stories that will shine when brought to life through the author’s own voice.
Writers will be creating subtext-packed stories featuring quirky, heart-breaking characters brimming with conflict, humor and pathos.
After the workshop ends there will be an (optional) Zoom event in which each writer will be invited to read aloud a story written in the workshop. The workshop will take place in a private Facebook group with instructor feedback on every story.
Cost is £160 GBP. Enrolment link here at Meg Pokrass Microfiction Workshop newsletter…
looking forward to this!
